For those who play chess, probably Stockfish platform is well-known already. Stockfish is an open-source engine created more than 10 years ago. It is based in Machine Learning principles (wow! so this theme is not quite fresh as lot of people think it is!), using self-experiences to construct the engine. Naturally, it scaled along these years in ways that brought the summit of most chess-engine rating lists and is the strongest open-source chess engine in the world. It’s name is Stockfish because it was "produced in Norway and cooked in Italy" (one developer, Romstad, is a Norwegian, and the other one, Costalba, is an Italian).
We should have “Human Learning” jargon in addition to Machine Learning, in order to capture the know-how from successful cases like that. It is an “ear prick” to us, showing that there is an inevitable long path to achieve targets evolving huge disruptive technologies. We have to believe and be resilient to get to the top. Unfortunately, when getting to a board decision, the long-term word usually sounds like a fork scratching the plate. Definitely, that is not related to envisioning at all, where the comfortable zone often takes place in the corporative way of life. The most curious thing is that after the success of an instance, everybody looks to the solution as “Why didn’t I think about that before? Let’s begin and do the same”.
